Introduction

2024 Southwest Collegiate Teams is  IN-PERSON 3-board team event on March 9. The top three finishing teams will qualify for next year’s Texas Superfinals. Each college can send as many teams as they want. This event is part of the Texas College Chess circuit that happens every school year, whose aim is to grow interest and participation among all collegiate chess clubs and players from the Southwest region.

This event is FREE and no USCF membership is required!

Parking: Parking is free over the weekend.

After you walk past the McDermott library you will see the Student Union.

Match Points
Tiebreak:
1) Game points
2) Direct encounter
3) Match points scored by second team of same college
4) Game points scored by second team of same college

Fair Play Policy

No phones will be allowed in the playing hall. There will be another room where bags can be left with their coaches.
Chief TD will make final decision on any issues related to any matches.
